Coupon Marketplace is a small site with partner deals on software. This page says what the site records when you visit, and how to stop it. The site asks for no name, no email address and no account.
What the site records
- Visits. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and clicks on the coupon buttons. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data. See the Vercel Web Analytics privacy policy.
- The Google tag. On coupon-marketplace.com, the site loads Google Analytics and Google Ads. Google sets cookies, for example
_ga, to count visits and to measure the ads that bring visitors here. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. - The two versions of the Unbounce page. The Unbounce coupon page has two versions. A cookie named
cm_abholds one letter, a or b, so that you see the same version each time. It lasts 90 days. The site also counts, for each version, how many visits there were and how many of them clicked a coupon button. Each count holds a random id for the visit, the version, the button, and the time. It holds no name, no email address and no IP address.
The partner link
The coupon buttons open Unbounce's partner page through PartnerStack (unbounce.grsm.io). From there, the privacy policies of PartnerStack and Unbounce apply. Coupon Marketplace earns a commission when you sign up through the link. You pay the discounted price.
How to stop it
- Block or delete cookies for this site in your browser. The
cm_abcookie goes too. You may then see the other version of the Unbounce page. - Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Use an ad blocker. The site works without the tags, and the coupon buttons still open the partner page.
